Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent with history of customer service or volunteer experience. Candidates should have an enthusiastic, positive public service orientation and the ability to work with patrons of all ages. Candidates must be comfortable with technology used in the library.
Responsibilities: Check materials out and in, collect fines and fees, processing interlibrary loans, answer general phone questions, issue library cards, catalog and process new library materials, assist with items on reserve and making copies, provide technology instruction to patrons, and other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Communicate in person, by telephone, and through email, be able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, reach, and bend, sometimes for extended periods of time, be able to lift and move boxes of books as well as push a wheeled cart holding 50+ lbs., read regular and small print text, conduct data entry and create electronic documents using repetitive keystrokes, work in an environment where the noise level varies from quiet through loud.
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
