Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physical Therapist who is fluent in Spanish and/or bilingual to join our dedicated healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, including physiology and anatomy knowledge, to develop effective care plans.
- Implement evidence-based physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics to address various musculoskeletal issues.
- Manage discharge planning and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings.
- Provide specialized care for pediatric, geriatric, and other patient groups in inpatient, outpatient, hospital, or home & community care environments.
- Document patient progress accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems and maintain detailed treatment records.
- Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and self-care strategies to promote long-term wellness.
- Participate in team meetings to review care plans, update treatment goals, and contribute insights on patient care strategies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to physiotherapy practices.
- Proven experience in discharge planning, acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and home health settings.
- Skilled in developing personalized care plans that incorporate physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish and/or bilingual proficiency to effectively serve diverse populations.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient record management.
- Ability to work efficiently in inpatient hospital environments as well as outpatient clinics and home & community care settings.
