Stupid Easy Media is a well‑established media and content production company serving businesses throughout Spokane and North Idaho. We specialize in brand‑driven storytelling, short‑form social content, promos, and ongoing monthly content for local businesses. We’re expanding a new division and are looking for a reliable, creative editor who can eventually take on a significant portion of our production workload.
Position Overview
We’re hiring a part‑time Short‑Form Video Editor to assemble polished, on‑brand social content for local businesses. You’ll receive scripts, shot lists, and footage from our shoots — your job is to turn them into clean, engaging short‑form videos that match each client’s established branding and tone.
This role is remote, but applicants must live in Spokane or North Idaho for occasional in‑person collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Edit short‑form videos (15–60 seconds) for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Work in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut
- Follow provided scripts, shot lists, and brand guidelines
- Maintain consistent color grading, pacing, typography, and tone across client content
- Organize, name, and deliver files according to our internal system
- Collaborate closely with our social media manager to ensure assets are properly prepared for posting
- Apply feedback professionally and revise quickly when needed
- Bring creative ideas and solutions without needing micro‑management
- Work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly
- Occasionally edit longer promos or storytelling videos (bonus pay)
Requirements
- Local to Spokane / North Idaho
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut
- Strong understanding of short‑form social content and current trends
- Ability to follow direction and established branding
- Comfortable receiving constructive criticism
- Organized, detail‑oriented, and self‑sufficient
- Reliable communication and timely responses
- Must provide a portfolio showcasing short‑form editing
- Must have a computer capable of editing 4K footage
- Must have stable internet for transferring large files
- Must be able to work remotely and collaborate digitally
- Experience with color grading
- Understanding of storytelling pacing for testimonial-style content
- Ability to create simple motion graphics or text animations
- Experience editing for multiple brands at once
- Familiarity with vertical video safe zones, formatting, and platform standards
Hours & Compensation
- Part‑time to start (flexible schedule)

Pay: $15.00 per hour
