Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Shop Lead to oversee daily operations within our welding and fabrication environment. This pivotal role combines leadership, process optimization, and hands-on materials handling to ensure seamless distribution, inventory accuracy, and team productivity. As a Shop Lead, you will champion safety standards, streamline workflows, and motivate your team to achieve operational excellence in a fast-paced, e-commerce-driven setting. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, logistics, and materials handling will drive efficiency and elevate our service standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control, cycle counts, and reconciliation using warehouse management systems like AS400 and RF scanners.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely dispatches and deliveries while maintaining accurate records.
- Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Manage warehouse distribution operations, including forklift operation, heavy lifting, and materials handling in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to OSHA and other industry standards across all warehouse activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and logistics operations such as shipping & receiving.
- Hands-on experience with forklift operation, RF scanners, AS400 systems, and materials handling equipment.
- Familiarity with lean management practices and process improvement methodologies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with understanding of warehouse safety protocols aligned with OSHA standards.

Pay: $24.97 - $30.07 per hour
