Overview
We are a small mom and pop automotive shop seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to join our team. We have a fun working environment and will train the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have experience changing oil on a variety of vehicles, be experienced in tire mount and balancing and brake inspections and be excited to learn. Excellent customer service skills are required. This job requires a candidate who can multitask enough to stop working and cheerfully greet a customer when needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers, answer phone calls.
- Provide customers with tire quotes for new tire sales and other mechanical job quotes
- Change oil on a variety of vehicles
- Mount, balance, rotate tires, mostly light truck and cars
- Inspect brakes and front end components for maintenance concerns with every tire change or rotation.
- Flat repair
- Either have experience with alignments or be willing to learn and conduct alignments when the master mechanic is not available.
- Clean the shop during down time
- Conduct inventory assessments
- Schedule appointments
- Create work orders, invoicing and cash out customers
Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
