Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Bather to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong understanding of pet care. As a Pet Bather, you will be responsible for providing bathing services to dogs, ensuring their cleanliness and comfort while maintaining a safe environment. Your role will involve interacting with pet owners, showcasing excellent customer service skills, and contributing to the overall well-being of the animals in our care. This position pays $16/hour plus 100% of tips.
Duties
- Bathe and dry dogs according to their specific needs.
- Handle and restrain animals safely during bathing.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing and drying area and equipment.
- Provide basic pet care, including brushing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
- Monitor pets for any signs of health issues or discomfort during grooming sessions.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and grooming preferences.
- Assist in managing the flow of pets in the bathing area to ensure timely service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dog bathing is preferred.
- Familiarity with pet bathing techniques and animal restraint methods is essential.
- Ability to lift heavy animals as needed; physical stamina is important for this role.
- Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
