Night Shift Passenger Loading Bridge Cleaner – Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL)
APEX Professional Services is hiring reliable cleaners for monthly deep cleaning of 75 passenger loading bridges at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport under a State of Hawaii DOT Airports contract (DOT-AIR-O-26-018).
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday nights, 10:00 PM – 4:00 AM (except State holidays). Work is performed once per month across all bridges (not every night).
Duties include:
- Extending/retracting bridges as needed
- Sweeping, gum removal, mopping with slip-resistant polish
- Cleaning walls, handrails, windows, doors, light fixtures, control panels, and aluminum floor plates
- Vacuuming carpeted hallways and mopping hard-floor hallways at specific gates
- Removing all rubbish from airport property nightly
- Coordinating with Airport Ramp Control
- Using “Wet Floor” signs until dry
Requirements:
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Must obtain AOA ID badge (background check; $60 fee)
- Physical ability for detailed cleaning work in bridge interiors
- Reliable transportation
- Attention to detail and ability to follow a strict checklist
- Preferred: commercial/airport cleaning experience
- Willingness to complete State-provided Loading Bridge Operator training (1–2 team members)
This is specialized, high-responsibility airport work. Training and AOA badging support provided.
