The Plumber is responsible for independently performing commercial plumbing service, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation work while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety. This position serves as a front-line representative of Rise Mechanical Group and is expected to build lasting customer relationships through professionalism, technical expertise, and quality work.
Typical work schedule is from 7:00am until 4:00pm Monday through Friday and may be shifted slightly from time to time. Emergency service response, overtime, weekends and varying start times may be required based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum four years of commercial plumbing experience.
- Valid California Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- California Journeyman certification.
- Medical gas certification.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Healthcare facility experience.
ServiceTitan experience.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical equipment.
- Work in confined spaces, rooftops, crawlspaces, and mechanical rooms.
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach overhead.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Safely wear required PPE, including respiratory protection when required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and install commercial plumbing systems and equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, natural gas, and specialty piping systems.
- Install and repair fixtures, water heaters, pumps, valves, backflow devices, and associated equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions.
- Accurately complete work orders, labor entries, material usage, and customer notes in ServiceTitan.
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
- Maintain company vehicle, inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Identify additional repair opportunities and communicate recommendations through company procedures.
- Protect customer facilities and maintain clean work areas.
- Participate in company safety meetings and ongoing technical training.
- Assist with training Apprentice Plumbers as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable plumbing codes and safety regulations.
