Welcome to Basin Dermatology, a leader in medical and cosmetic dermatology services in Midland, Texas. Basin Dermatology is looking for a experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN to be the first face that our wonderful dermatology patients see when they walk in our friendly office!

Salary: $18 - $22 per hour

Schedule: 7:30a to 5:30p Monday - Thursday and one Friday a month

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN Responsibilities

Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment
Interview patients to obtain medical information
Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
Record patients' medical history, medications, allergies and vital statistics in medical records.
Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing a patient for treatment
Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician following safety protocol of right dose, right patient, right route, right drug and noting expiration date
Collect blood, tissue or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
Explain treatment procedures, medications, and physicians' instructions to patients.
Help providers examine and treat patients, handing them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.
Under Provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.

Skills & Qualifications

Dermatology Medical Assistant or LVN Qualifications

MUST HAVE one (1)+year experience in a medical setting
MUST HAVE the social skills to interact with patients
MUST get along with others in the work place
MUST be able to work on your feet for 8 hours
MUST be motivated with an outgoing personality
CMA or LVN required
