Faith, Hope, Love, Charity, Inc. (FHLC) is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and highly motivated Inreach/Outreach Specialist to serve Veterans experiencing homelessness or housing instability throughout Palm Beach County.
This is an in-person, field-based position that combines community outreach, relationship building, and technology. You'll spend your days connecting with Veterans in shelters, encampments, hospitals, VA facilities, and partner agencies while using technology to coordinate services, document outreach efforts, and communicate with your team.

What You'll Do
- Conduct outreach throughout Palm Beach County at shelters, encampments, VA facilities, hospitals, partner agencies, public spaces, and other community locations.
- Build trusting relationships with Veterans through compassionate, trauma-informed engagement.
- Educate Veterans on available services, housing resources, and referral options.
- Coordinate with Intake Specialists, Case Managers, Housing Navigators, Healthcare Navigators, VA staff, and community providers to ensure timely access to services.
- Assist Veterans through the referral, screening, and intake process.
- Participate in community outreach events, By-Name List meetings, treatment team meetings, Continuum of Care initiatives, and other collaborative efforts.
- Assist with housing inspections, move in housing kit deliveries, participant support, document collection, and other field-based activities.
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation, outreach logs, referral tracking, and HMIS data entry.
- Maintain current knowledge of community resources and build strong partnerships throughout Palm Beach County.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, is comfortable working independently in the field, and can balance community engagement with timely electronic documentation.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong computer and technology skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and the ability to quickly learn new software and electronic documentation systems.
- Experience using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and cloud-based applications throughout the workday.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting documentation deadlines.
- A professional, compassionate, and solution-focused approach.
- Valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
- The ability to travel independently throughout Palm Beach County on a daily basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Veteran preference and/or lived experience with homelessness.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with Veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, behavioral health, housing programs, outreach, or case management.
- Familiarity with HMIS, SSVF, VA programs, or Continuum of Care systems is preferred.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
While the standard schedule is Monday through Friday, occasional evening hours or schedule adjustments may be required to support outreach events, holiday initiatives, emergency response efforts, or to meet the needs of Veterans and the Palm Beach County community.
