The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Iowa invites applications for an Administrative Services Coordinator. We seek a highly organized, adaptable, and service-oriented professional to serve as a primary point of contact while supporting the day-to-day administrative and academic operations of the department. This role is essential to ensuring the effective functioning of departmental activities in support of faculty, students, staff, and the broader university community.
Education requirement
Required Qualifications

6 months to a year administrative work experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as demonstrated at a working proficiency level.

Experience with a variety of desktop tools, including MS Office Suite and apps. Willingness and ability to learn new software platforms as needed.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Qualifications

Ability to work as part of a team.

Basic experience with website maintenance, newsletter development, and social media management.

Demonstrates working ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
