Duties
- Greet guests with enthusiasm and genuine warmth, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems such as Square or Open Table
- Escort guests to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the venue
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and ensure all guest areas are welcoming and inviting
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times
- Work with event planner to coordinate large groups.
- Handle guest inquiries over the phone with professional phone etiquette, providing accurate information about services and wait times
- Assist in guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously, ensuring a positive experience
Requirements
- Previous host/hostess experience or background in high volume food service and bar is preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests
- Experience with restaurant Reservation systems such as Open Table or Tripleseat is a plus
- Knowledge of our story and history can enhance your ability to deliver exceptional hospitality
- Excellent customer service skills, including active listening and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Familiarity with serving, hospitality standards, and guest relations practices is advantageous
