Job Overview
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Operations & Development Manager is responsible for overseeing the Foundation's financial operations, donor management systems, human resources administration, organizational compliance, fundraising operations, technology systems & administrative functions.
This role requires exceptional organizational skills, financial acumen, attention to detail, professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to compassionate, mission centered service.
Responsibilities
- Human Resource Administration- coordinate employee onboarding and orientation activities; maintain volunteer, intern and employee files and records; process payroll and related reporting; maintain employee handbook and personnel policies; coordinate annual performance evaluation processes; maintain confidentiality of personnel information and assist with recruitment and hiring.
- Fundraising & Development Operations - Maintain and administer the Foundation's donor management System; ensure timely and accurate entry of donations, pledges, grants, and event revenue; track donor stewardship activities; support grant tracking and reporting requirements; assist with fundraising activities, donor meetings and special events; monitor campaign performance and fundraising metrics; and track restricted gifts and donor designated funding.
- Program Support and Coordination - Provide operational & administrative support to Jerry's Place and foundation programs, serve as backup support to the Program Manager regarding resident admissions and coordination activties; Provide back up assistance to the Program Manager helping with the volunteers and admissions and daily activity at Jerry's Place; assist with referral coordination and communication with hospice agencies and About Care; help ensure smooth transitions for residents and their families, support volunteer scheduling, communication and documentation; maintain program statistics & operational data.
- Financial Management & Accounting - Support annual audits, budget preparation, monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, IRS filings, regulatory reporting and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
Requirements
- High school diploma required, Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit operations, accounting, administration, fundraising support and human resources.
- Proficiency with entire Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Donor focused systems, Canva, and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of volunteer management and community outreach activities.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, employee onboarding, and employment compliance requirements.

Pay: $56,500.00 - $70,000.00 per year
