Protect. Serve. Make waves.
If lake days are your happy place, you’re calm under pressure, and you want a summer job that actually matters—this one’s for you.
As a Camp Timber-lee Lifeguard, you’re not just watching the water. You’re creating safe, joy-filled moments where campers can relax, have fun, and feel cared for. You’ll spend your days at the lake, working with a great team, building relationships, and helping make camp unforgettable.
It’s meaningful. It’s active. And yes—there’s a lot of sunshine.
What your summer will look like
Your days will be a mix of responsibility, fun, and camp life:
- Keeping a sharp eye on campers during lake and waterfront activities
- Jumping in as an alert, active lifeguard (you’re the calm in the chaos)
- Helping keep the waterfront clean, organized, and safe
- Participating in lifeguard training & skill refreshers
- Welcoming campers, staff, and guests with a friendly, confident presence
- Supporting the Aquatics Lead with daily operations and special events
- Pitching in with camper arrivals, departures, and evening activities
- Occasionally flexing into other roles (yes, even Cabin Leader if needed)
You’ll be trusted with real responsibility—and supported every step of the way.
What Will I Get Paid?
The benefits of working at camp are more than just a paycheck.
This position offer a starting wage of $275/week, and camp provides all meals during your workday.
Working an 8-hour shift? That’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner you don’t have to plan, buy, or cook.
This position also includes optional FREE housing for those who want to live on camp.
Translation: you could leave the summer with your paycheck mostly intact—again, minus the Culver’s and Goodwill runs.

- Take safety seriously but don’t take themselves too seriously
