Purpose:
Provide administrative and patient coordination support for imaging services to ensure efficient workflow, timely patient communication, and high-quality patient care.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist with scheduling patients, ensuring appropriate appointment selection and coordination.

Answer incoming phone calls from patients and internal departments, providing accurate information and routing as appropriate.

Verify that all required imaging orders are present and accurate in the patient chart prior to scheduled appointments.

Communicate appointment preparation instructions clearly to patients, including pre-visit requirements and expectations.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation withing the electronic medical record (EHR).

Ensure prior imaging studies are obtained and available for review prior to patient appointments.

Coordinate patient care activities with Research departments, ensuring alignment with study protocols and scheduling needs.

Respond to patient portal messages in a timely and professional manner.

Create and send mammography patient result letters in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
-
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
-
Experience in a medical office, radiology department, or patient access role preferred.

Understanding of basic Anatomy and Physiology
