Duties
- Create custom tattoo designs and execute precise body piercings in accordance with client requests and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, sterile workspace by following strict sterilization procedures for all equipment and surfaces
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, provide professional advice on design, placement, color choices, and aftercare
- Ensure compliance with all tattooing and piercing safety regulations, including sterilization protocols and sanitation standards
- Manage client communication effectively, addressing questions and providing aftercare instructions to ensure optimal healing
- Keep detailed records of each procedure performed, including consent forms, design sketches, and aftercare instructions
- Stay current on industry trends, new techniques, and safety practices through ongoing education
Requirements
- Proven experience in tattooing and body piercing with a strong portfolio demonstrating artistic skill and technical proficiency
- Knowledge of store management principles is a plus for overseeing daily operations or assisting in team coordination
- Familiarity with tattoo and piercing sterilization protocols, sanitation procedures, and safety regulations is essential
- Ability to perform body piercing procedures safely using proper techniques and equipment
- Strong understanding of color theory, shading techniques, illustration skills, and professional art or design background preferred
- Excellent communication skills for client consultations, sales conversations, and team collaboration
- Certification in first aid and knowledge of first aid protocols to handle emergencies confidently
- Experience with customer service excellence to create positive client experiences from consultation through aftercare
