A community-focused Critical Access Hospital in Southern Illinois is seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician to join its outpatient primary care team in Benton, Illinois, approximately 20 minutes south of Mount Vernon.
This is a stable, outpatient opportunity with a manageable patient volume, no call, no weekends, and the potential to grow into a leadership role supervising mid-level providers. The physician will care for patients of all ages and provide a mix of acute, chronic, and preventive primary care.
Position highlights include a standard business-hours schedule, one administrative day per week, an average of approximately 15 patients per day, and separate hospitalist coverage. Over time, the physician may supervise approximately five to six mid-level providers.
Experienced Family Medicine physicians and strong new graduates will both be considered. Local and regional candidates are strongly preferred, especially those with ties to Southern Illinois, Benton, Mount Vernon, or the surrounding counties.
This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking career stability, quality of life, and the ability to make a meaningful impact in a rural community.
