Transport Driver
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and courteous Transport Driver to join our team at BlueBonnet Rehab at Ennis. As a Transport Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comfortable transportation of our residents to and from appointments. Responsibilities:
Transport residents to and from appointments in a safe and timely manner
Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance
Complete transportation log and other required forms and turn them into the office staff bi-weekly in a timely manner
Refuel the vehicle as needed
Assist residents in getting on and off the van
Follow City policy guidelines in the event of an accident
Make sure replacement driver is available in case of absence
Maintain vehicle in a clean condition, including taking the vehicle to be washed/cleaned as necessary
When no transports are scheduled, assist other departments as needed
Attend mandatory in-service meetings
Requirements:
High school or General Education Diploma (GED)
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License
Experience in operating a passenger van or bus preferred
Must have a Basic CPR certificate
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Willingness to take on responsibilities
Ability to exercise good judgement and tact in dealing with residents, resident families, and staff members
Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, squat, stoop, climb steps, and walk as needed
Ability to lift 50lbs or more
Good communication skills
Courteous to residents, resident families, visitors, and other staff members
Ability to drive a van or bus
Maintain patient confidentiality
Flexibility in work schedule
