Job Summary
Join our dynamic team, working in a Mexican Food Truck as a Cashier/Server, where you will be the friendly face that creates memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Operate POS systems such as Square
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Assist in food preparation when needed, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper sanitation standards are upheld throughout shifts
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to health regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent service delivery
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining quality standards
Requirements
- Must be Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Prior experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Demonstrated skills in cashiering, including familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and order totaling
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is a plus; café or grocery store experience is beneficial
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
