About the Role
Fisher Construction Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our Burlington, WA team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of company vehicles, heavy construction equipment, and jobsite support equipment. While primarily based in our shop, this role also requires occasional travel to project sites throughout the Pacific Northwest to perform field repairs and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on:
- Pickup trucks and company fleet vehicles
- Heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.)
- Trailers, generators, compressors, and other construction equipment
- Perform engine, hydraulic, electrical, drivetrain, brake, suspension, and welding repairs as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in the field and perform repairs at project sites throughout the Pacific Northwest.
- Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
- Coordinate parts ordering and inventory while minimizing equipment downtime.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and manufacturer-specific software when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Work closely with project teams, superintendents, and equipment managers to keep projects operating efficiently.
- Keep construction yard organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience repairing construction equipment and/or commercial fleet vehicles.
- Must provide and maintain own hand tools necessary to perform the job.
- Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic information.
- Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in both shop and outdoor jobsite environments.
Pay: $36.78 - $43.97 per hour
