Industrial Facilities Technician – Manufacturing Environment
Fort Mill, SC | Full-Time | $29–$34/hr (Based on Experience)
Edge Industrial Staffing is partnering with a leading manufacturing company in the Fort Mill area to hire Industrial Facilities Technicians. This is NOT an apartment or residential maintenance role — this position supports industrial building systems and utilities inside a production environment.

Pay & Schedule
- $29–$34/hr (DOE)
- Day & Night Shift Available
- 2-2-3 Schedule (every other weekend off)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair facility utility systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities
- Maintain logs and documentation per local, state, and federal compliance
- Troubleshoot process equipment and make adjustments as needed
- Use handheld diagnostic tools (voltage meters, gas meters, pH meters, etc.)
- Assist in maintaining spare parts inventory
- Follow all LOTO and plant safety procedures
- Support production needs while preventing downtime
- Maintain clean, organized work areas aligned with 5S standards
- Complete repairs and projects assigned by the Facilities Manager
- Participate in onsite emergency response activities
- Support PSM/RMP and permit-related maintenance documentation
Equipment & Systems Exposure
Candidates with experience in any of the following will be highly valued:
- Mechanical chillers & cooling towers
- Boilers & compressed air systems
- HVAC systems
- Pumps, valves & industrial piping
- Water & wastewater treatment systems
- Emission scrubbers & environmental controls
- Electrical & mechanical troubleshooting
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience
- Experience working in manufacturing, production, industrial, or chemical processing
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical & mechanical systems
- Experience with safe chemical handling
- Strong communication & teamwork skills
Preferred Experience
(Not required, but a plus)
- 2+ years in industrial facilities maintenance
- Licensed wastewater treatment operator (SC Phys-Chem)
- Technical trade school or associate degree
- Military mechanical maintenance experience
