Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that orders are fulfilled efficiently and with precision. Your energetic approach will help maintain smooth warehouse operations and contribute to delivering exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience operating warehouse equipment, managing inventory, and adhering to safety protocols while working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to accurately pick items according to order specifications
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanical tools safely and efficiently
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate handling techniques and equipment
- Pack products securely using proper packaging materials to prevent damage during transit
- Conduct quality control checks to verify order accuracy and product condition before shipping
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace following safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols
- Support stock replenishment by stocking shelves and managing inventory levels in the warehouse distribution area
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize order fulfillment processes and improve overall efficiency
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in order picking, packing, and stock management
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, materials handling, and manual handling techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Experience in quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and product integrity during order fulfillment
- Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within warehouse distribution management
