Master HVAC Technician (Type A / Lead-Level)
Location: Columbia, MO
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~7:00 AM–4:00 PM, rotating on-call, seasonal overtime
Compensation: $32–$44/hr ($67K–$91K annually), plus after-hours differential
About the Role
We're looking for a Master HVAC Technician to serve as our licensed point of accountability on permitted jobs, independently diagnosing complex residential and commercial systems while leading and mentoring other techs. This is a lead-level role for someone with deep field experience who's ready to be the person others turn to on the toughest calls.
What You'll Do
- Independently diagnose and repair complex residential and commercial HVAC systems
- Serve as the licensed point of accountability on permitted jobs
- Lead and mentor other HVAC technicians in the field
- Handle commercial HVAC work as a core part of the day-to-day mix
- Participate in rotating on-call coverage for after-hours emergency service
- Work seasonal overtime as demand requires
- Uphold high standards for craftsmanship, safety, and customer service
What You Bring
- 7–10+ years of HVAC experience, including several years at journeyman/lead level
- Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred
- Master Mechanical HVACR (Type A) license, or eligible
- EPA 608 Universal certification (required)
- Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose complex systems
- Proven track record leading and mentoring technicians
- Comfortable serving as the licensed point of accountability on permitted jobs
- Clean driving record

Compensation & Benefits
