Groundskeeper
East Brunswick Magnet School
Brief Description:
The Board of Education of the Middlesex County Magnet Schools is seeking applicants to fill the position of Groundskeeper for the 2026-2027 school year. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for all grounds upkeep, planting, mowing, irrigation, equipment operation, and light repairs, vehicle operations, and light repair for all grounds and snow removal/ ice control equipment, athletic program and field maintenance for sites and facilities, snow removal and ice control for the entire school district. The employee shall also be responsible for the maintenance, care, and modification of all school grounds and landscapes, irrigation, and grounds procedures. The employee will participate in the repair, maintenance, and construction of district facilities; maintain high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work-connected areas of the Middlesex County Magnet Schools. Performs any duties and responsibilities that are within the scope of employment as assigned by the Director of Facilities or designee. Salary will be based on the salary guide in effect.
Qualifications:

High school diploma (or GED) and a minimum of three years' experience working in grounds maintenance with skill in vehicle and equipment maintenance required; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position.

Must possess or be able to obtain a license for the application of restricted-use pesticides to turf or ornamental plants.
Salary Range:
$46,309 – $68,509 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and professional credentials.
