Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Social Sciences Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement and promotes literacy skills. The Social Science Teacher will develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring all students have the opportunity to succeed academically.
Duties
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- Teach various aspects of the United States History, World History, Government/Economics.
- Teach students to evaluate historical sources, identify bias, construct arguments, and support conclusions with credible evidence.
- Incorporate primary and secondary sources, maps, historical documents, research, writing, discussion, and project-based learning.
- Connect historical content to current events, civic responsibility, government systems, economic concepts, and global issues.
- Differentiate instruction for students with varying academic abilities, educational backgrounds, language proficiencies, and learning needs.
- Use research-based instructional strategies and educational technology to increase student participation and understanding.
- Create learning experiences that encourage inquiry, debate, collaboration, problem-solving, and independent thought.
Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field is required; teaching certification preferred.
- Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with lesson planning, classroom management, and educational technology is essential.
- Strong background in creative writing, journalism, or copy editing is a plus.
- Experience working with students with special education needs is an advantage.

Pay: $49,976.00 - $52,492.00 per year
