Position Summary:
The Quality Manager, QSC, Fremont is responsible for leading and enhancing the site’s quality systems and processes, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and all applicable industry (ASME), regulatory, and government standards. This role oversees process controls and equipment to drive high levels of performance and operational excellence. The Quality Manager provides leadership to the Quality Assurance Coordinator and Quality Assurance Specialist, while partnering closely with operations to identify and implement improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery. As a key member of both the QSC Fremont plant leadership team and the broader QSC quality organization, this role plays a critical part in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, execute and monitor quality programs and activities, ensuring manufacturing process controls meet regulatory compliance and provide high quality and reliability to products and customer requirements.
· Utilize quality systems and tools to conduct equipment maintenance, calibration, in-process product disposition and containment, product identification, quality documentation and control systems to maintain compliance.
· Engage in nonconformance investigations, material review decisions and corrective/preventive action. Follow-up to be sure corrective actions are properly documented and verified, and corrective measures are in place to meet reliability standards and requirements.
· Highlight and communicate awareness of major quality concerns. Coach operations team on significant quality issues and prevention measures. Collaborate with continuous improvement team to address internal and customer quality issues.
· Ensure quality and product audits and reporting are completed for the site, including reporting of nonconformance and severity of risk.
- Develop strategies and systems to improve supplier performance and productivity. Engage in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs. Ensure suppliers conform to ASME requirements.

· Lead and direct the Quality Assurance Coordinators, managing performance by setting goals and coaching and developing in “How we Lead” to achieve results and reinforce the positive culture.
- Collect and analyze internal and customer data from reporting tools to establish quality performance trends, define actions to address these and drive actions to closure.
- Develop and manage the budget and budget execution.
- Benchmark best practices and evaluate and implement continuous improvement for operational continuity and improved safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and improving quality systems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Quality Management Systems preferred.
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing preferred.

Education and Certification Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering or a related field preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered.
Travel
· Approximately 10% travel to company, customer or vendor sites.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
