Supporting clients across the United States, KLE drives operational improvement through Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Field Data Collection and Utility Pole Inspection.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform various field services supporting inspection and maintenance of electric distribution utility poles.
- Performs hand excavation around the base of wood utility poles
- Assists with the inspection and treatment of the pole.
- Operate necessary hand tools including but not limited to: shovel, drill, and hammer to assess pole structural integrity and longevity.
- Achieve weekly production goals as defined by the project guidelines.
- Wears appropriate PPE and presents a professional appearance and attitude
- Demonstrates high work standards and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate with the public, customers, other team members, and leadership.
- Assists in Storm Response when activated by the utility company
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Full time travel throughout the State of MI is required for this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
- High School Diploma
- Working Knowledge of computers and software applications (MS Office Products)
- Must have a valid driver’s license + clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to complete a satisfactory background check.
- Be able to pass an internal training program (written and field evaluation)
- Ability to work long hours in all types of weather and terrain
- Ability to work independently or in a team
