Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring smooth and efficient program delivery aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that promote growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children across age groups.
- Lead personnel management efforts including supervising staff, facilitating professional development workshops, conducting faculty evaluations, and managing personnel issues.
- Manage budgets effectively by planning financial resources, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility in line with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations related to early childhood education, health and safety standards, and legal requirements such as special education law.
- Coordinate fundraising activities to support program enhancements, facility improvements, and community outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning efforts to expand program offerings and improve service quality.
- Facilitate effective communication with families through regular updates, parent meetings, and community events to foster strong relationships.
- Lead school administrative functions including enrollment management, record keeping, licensing documentation, and maintaining a safe environment for children and staff.
Skills
- Extensive experience in school administration with a focus on early childhood or K-12 education settings.
- Proven expertise in curriculum development tailored to childhood development stages.
- Strong management skills with experience supervising school staff and managing teams effectively.
- Knowledge of educational compliance regulations including special education law and childhood development standards.
- Skilled in strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, and resource allocation at an executive level within educational organizations.
- Excellent communication skills suited for public speaking, team leadership, and community engagement.
- Ability to facilitate professional development sessions for educators focused on instructional leadership in early childhood settings.
- Familiarity with school legal requirements related to personnel management and educational operations.
- Experience working with students across diverse backgrounds within a preschool or early childhood environment.
