Marketing Specialist — Social Media & Sales Support
Clear Water Distilling Co.
Full-Time | Hybrid
Preferred locations: Salt Lake/Utah County
About the Role:
Clear Water Distilling Co. is looking for a creative, organized, and hands-on Marketing Specialist to help bring our spirits, events, partnerships, and sales programs to life.
This position will focus primarily on social media and content creation, while also providing creative support for our growing sales team - particularly in Colorado. The Marketing Specialist will design promotional materials for bars, restaurants, retailers, events, and other account partners; capture photo and video content at events; and occasionally assist with email marketing, product launches, and other projects that support a growing craft distillery.
We are looking for someone who can move comfortably between creative and practical work. One day may involve planning social content or editing a Reel, while the next may involve creating a cocktail menu for a Colorado account, photographing an event, designing a table topper, or helping prepare materials for a new product launch.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to contribute across several areas of marketing and see their work move quickly from concept to the real world.
What You’ll Do:
This role will support several areas of marketing, with priorities rotating based on current campaigns, events, and sales needs rather than all responsibilities happening at once.
- Manage Clear Water’s social media presence, including content planning, copywriting, scheduling, community engagement, and basic performance tracking
- Capture and edit photo and video content for social media, events, product promotions, and other marketing needs
- Create sales-support materials such as table toppers, posters, menus, sell sheets, and account-specific promotions, with a particular focus on supporting our Colorado sales team
- Attend and capture select tastings, festivals, partnerships, and account events, occasionally assisting with promotion and event materials
- Provide occasional support for email campaigns, website updates, product launches, and seasonal marketing initiatives
- Maintain organized, up-to-date brand assets and adapt existing templates for different accounts, markets, and campaign
Qualifications
- Approximately two years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, graphic design, communications, or a related field is preferred. Strong early-career candidates with a compelling portfolio are encouraged to apply
- Strong visual judgment and the ability to create polished, brand-appropriate content and promotional materials
- Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, and short-form video platforms
- Comfortable capturing photo and video content in active event environments
- Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and editing tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, requests, and stakeholders without losing track of details
- Comfortable receiving feedback and revising creative work
- Self-directed, dependable, resourceful, and willing to move between different types of projects
- Interest in craft spirits, cocktails, hospitality, food and beverage, consumer brands, or experiential marketing
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional events, account visits, and content shoots
- Willingness to occasionally work evenings or weekends when events require it
Helpful, but Not Required
- Experience working with a distillery, brewery, winery, restaurant, bar, hospitality brand, or consumer packaged goods company
- Experience supporting a field sales team
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo
- Experience with Meta Business Suite, social scheduling tools, and social media analytics
- Basic photography, videography, lighting, and editing experience
- Familiarity with WordPress or other website platforms
- Experience preparing print-ready files and working with printers or production vendors
- Experience creating marketing materials for retail or hospitality accounts
