Job Summary
Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will assist in all aspects of Human Resources related to employees including labor relations, company policies and procedures, payroll, compensation, performance management, benefits, recruitment, employment law, workers compensation and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Business Administration or equivalent with 2 years of related experience in a human resource role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with a high level of understanding with HRIS platforms.
- Must have strong organizational skills; flexibility and ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Displays an attitude conducive to progress through positive change, continuous improvement and active contributor to the teamwork concept.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assists in all matters related to Human Resources for U.S. Salt including collaboration with local union in the administration and interpretation of contract language.
- Monitor, maintain, and coordinate personnel transactions in HRIS (currently UKG).
- Liaison for benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision/Life Insurances) and retirement program (401K), while providing guidance/instruction on policies, programs and procedures.
- Act as the payroll administrator using timekeeping clocks and UKG. Administer both weekly and bi-weekly payrolls.
- Collaborates with Safety department in Worker’s Compensation claims, investigations, documentation, and administration.
- Supports all recruitment efforts including advertising, interviewing, offers, career fairs, and on-boarding.
- Assists in the coordination of salary administration and performance management programs.
- Provides administrative tasks such as employee letters and correspondence, payroll reporting, employee investigations, and leave of absences.
- Updates and maintains company policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations and guidelines.
- Assists in various employee engagement activities and company initiatives.
Pay: $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
