This role will cover all 3 Pyramid Healthcare Halfway House's in Blair County (Traditions and Gratitude: Altoona and Pine Ridge Manor: Tyrone)
Summary
Coordinate BHT scheduling and cross facility coverage such that training and other overtime is significantly
reduced. Capable of giving appropriate feedback to staff and role modeling to staff. Organizes the BHT's so the
staff is trained and knowledgeable about their job functions. Advises clinical staff of clients' goals and how they are
progressing. Completes required trainings and ensures all BHT's are completing them as well.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor BHT staff engagement and provides regular direct supervision to BHT department
- Develops and maintains staff schedules. (programming for BHT's)
- Collaborates with other team members to create programing for BHT department.
- Communicates with staff either verbally or in written communication logs.
- Assists in training of new staff members.
- Assists in intervention of clients who are in crisis mode to utilize the least restrictive procedure necessary.
- Monitors the department documentation to ensure compliance.
- Coordinates transportation needs throughout the facility.
- Attends treatment team meetings, shift change and company meetings as required
- Develops orientation, curriculum, and training programs (new and ongoing)
- Evaluates training needs, department performance, system changes, etc.
- Responsible for confiscation and inventory management of client items.
- Assists Human Resources with recruitment and interviewing of new BHT's.
- Involvement in disciplinary action process of BHT's and BHT Supervisors.
- Conduct performance evaluations for the department.
- Complete required trainings and mandatory training hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide training and day-to-day guidance to the BHT team including but not limited to making daily rounding
of the facility.
- Supervises Behavioral Health Technicians, BHT Leads and BHT Supervisors.
Required Qualifications
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid required

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is
regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up
to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. The employee must seldom carry up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability
to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. This position will require local travel.
This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation.
Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment. Incumbent
may be exposed to traumatic situations (i.e. psychiatric).
