Comfort Systems USA – Kentucky is seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Technician to join our growing team in Richmond, KY. This role is ideal for a licensed journeyman technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and delivering excellent service to commercial customers.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, and associated controls
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues and perform repairs efficiently
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and reliability
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Provide professional, courteous, and timely service to customers while on job sites
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system conditions, repair options, and recommendations
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
- Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Support project teams and assist with special assignments as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Journeyman HVAC license required
- EPA Universal Certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred
- Proven experience working on commercial HVAC systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to represent the company professionally
- Basic computer skills for service documentation and communication
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
