Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or hospitality spaces, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Handle laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing
- Maintain floor care by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming carpets, and performing specialized treatments as needed
- Ensure sanitation standards are met by disinfecting surfaces, fixtures, and high-touch areas regularly
- Manage outdoor work tasks such as patio cleaning or yard tidying when required
- Use proper manual handling techniques to lift heavy furniture or equipment safely during cleaning tasks
- Manage housekeeping supplies inventory and notify supervisors when stock needs replenishing
- Follow established procedures for janitorial and custodial work to uphold health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential cleaning, hotel housekeeping, janitorial services or related fields
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, floor care, and sanitation practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently, including heavy lifting and outdoor work
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards residents or guests
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout shifts
- Experience with laundry operations and custodial responsibilities preferred
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies is a plus
- Prior housekeeping management or supervisory experience is advantageous but not required
