Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Gym Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting members with their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized gym environment. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work in a dynamic fitness setting, supporting members in achieving their health goals while ensuring smooth daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests with professional phone etiquette, creating a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist members with product demos of gym equipment and membership options
- Upsell memberships, personal training packages, and retail products to enhance member experience
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and retail sales
- Maintain merchandising displays and stock gym retail items through proper stocking procedures
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the gym floor, including equipment and retail areas
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing member inquiries and concerns promptly
- Support supervising staff in daily operations and ensure adherence to safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse membership base
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with members
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising, and stock management
- Supervising experience is advantageous but not required
- Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of grocery store or retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
