Nurse Practitioner – Urgent Care
Kentucky Urgent Care is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join our growing organization. This is a 1099 independent contractor position with flexible scheduling and competitive provider incentives.
The ideal candidate will have urgent care experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical providers. This role requires the ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient evaluations, including appropriate physical exams and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries commonly seen in an urgent care setting
- Order, review, and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans as clinically appropriate
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding diagnosis, treatment, medications, and follow-up care
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and other healthcare professionals when needed
- Assist patients with the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension when appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
- Follow all clinical, safety, infection control, and compliance protocols
Qualifications:
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or similar experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment
- Comfortable treating patients of various ages and conditions
- DEA license and prescriptive authority preferred/required as applicable
Contract Terms & Provider Perks:
- 1099 independent contractor position

- Flexible scheduling — choose the days you are available to work
- Paid orientation/shadowing during the first month with another provider
- Up to 80 hours per year of paid time away, subject to provider agreement terms
- $1,000 annually for CME
- Additional $150 daily incentive when seeing more than 40 patients in a day
