Responsibilities
- Help lead congregational singing during worship services with musical excellence using the keyboard
- Collaborate with the worship team to select appropriate songs that align with the service theme and congregation’s spiritual needs
- Rehearse regularly with other musicians and vocalists
- Adapt to different musical styles, including contemporary, gospel, or traditional, to enhance the worship experience
- Maintain and organize keyboard instruments and related equipment to ensure optimal sound quality
- Support the development of new worship arrangements and participate in special events or outreach programs as needed
- Foster a welcoming environment by encouraging participation and unity within the worship team
Requirements
- Proven proficiency in playing the keyboard or piano
- Experience leading or participating in praise and worship settings is highly preferred
- Ability to improvise creatively during live service
- Knowledge of various musical genres, including contemporary Christian music and gospel styles
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate with other team members
- Flexibility to adapt to different service formats and special event requirements
- Be able to teach parts to worship team members
