Group Reformer Pilates InstructorJob Overview
We are seeking an energetic, passionate, and certified Group Reformer Pilates Instructor to lead engaging and effective small group reformer Pilates classes within our dynamic fitness community. In this role, you will inspire clients of all fitness levels to achieve their wellness goals through thoughtfully designed sessions that emphasize proper body mechanics, core strength, flexibility, and overall well-being.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching 3:1 small group reformer classes, communicates clearly, and creates a supportive, motivating environment where clients feel empowered, challenged, and cared for throughout their fitness journey.
Duties
- Design and deliver high-quality reformer Pilates classes tailored to small groups, ensuring safety, proper form, and effective technique
- Lead 3:1 small group reformer sessions while providing individualized attention, corrections, and modifications
- Demonstrate exercises using principles of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics to maximize results and reduce injury risk
- Provide clear instructions, progressions, and modifications to accommodate participants of varying fitness levels and needs
- Foster a welcoming and motivating class environment that encourages consistency, confidence, and client retention
- Maintain equipment safety standards by inspecting reformer machines regularly and ensuring cleanliness after each class
- Track participant progress and offer guidance on integrating Pilates into broader fitness and wellness routines
- Support studio growth through positive client engagement and promotion of class schedules, memberships, and services
Requirements
- Pilates certification required
- Reformer Pilates certification and proven experience teaching reformer Pilates classes
- Experience teaching 3:1 small group reformer classes required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and body mechanics relevant to Pilates training
- Ability to demonstrate exercises confidently while providing constructive feedback and hands-on or verbal corrections as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, lively, and motivating teaching style
- Familiarity with group fitness dynamics and the ability to support diverse client populations
- Additional certifications or experience in yoga, dance, personal training, sports coaching, or fitness instruction are a plus
- Passion for health, wellness, and helping clients move better, feel stronger, and build confidence
