The White Bull is looking for a hospitality-driven Bartender to join our small and motivated team. Located in the heart of the Decatur square, we offer a personalized experience to every guest and take pride in being a staple neighborhood spot for over 8 years. We are intensely focused on highlighting seasonality and small producers — from the farms to the vineyards and distilleries. We're looking for someone who can see past the black-and-white of service, understand and follow our ethos, and contribute to a constantly evolving culture. This is a hybrid position that will require you to bartend and serve on the floor when necessary. Because of our high standards of service and a menu that changes almost daily, this is not an entry-level bartending position. Candidates are expected to have a multitude of experience in chef-driven, fine dining, and/or higher-level establishments. A strong knowledge of spirits and wine are required, as our guests are not only knowledgeable, but curious.
Responsibilites
- Efficiency and accuracy in bar set-up/breakdown, beverage execution and steps of service
- Thoughtful engagement with guests to guide their experience in the right direction
- Collaboration with the bar lead on seasonal cocktail curation
- Maintain sanitation standards as communicated by the health department
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of bar experience in a chef-driven, wine-forward or fine dining establishment
- A strong passion for hospitality, food and beverage
- Open availability, with weekends required
- A strong balance of hustle mentality and thoughtful execution
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Certifications in spirits or wine and/or bar management experience are a plus
Physical Demands
- Ability to move or lift items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to stretch, climb and bend when necessary
Compensation/Benefits
- $2.13/hr with tips
