Job Summary
The Marathon Crew Member will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and/or installation and construction of landscaping projects for commercial projects throughout the valley. Working under the guidance of the Crew Leader, this role involves executing tasks such as mowing, weeding, trimming trees, grading, planting, irrigation system installation, and hardscape construction. The ideal candidate is a hardworking, detail-oriented team player who thrives in an outdoor work environment and has a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
A valid Driver’s License is highly preferred and will increase the starting pay rate for this position.
Additionally, there is an opportunity for snow removal work during the winter months. Responsibilities may include plowing, shoveling, de-icing, and maintaining safe conditions on properties as needed.
1. Landscape Maintenance
- Mowing, weeding, trimming trees and shrubs
- General irrigation maintenance
2. Landscape Construction:
- Perform construction tasks such as site grading, soil preparation, planting, and sod installation.
- Install hardscapes, including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other features.
- Assist in constructing and maintaining irrigation systems.
3. Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping and construction equipment, including skid steers, trenchers, and other tools.
- Report equipment issues or required maintenance to the Construction Crew Leader.
4. Site Preparation and Cleanup:
- Prepare job sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment needed for each project.
- Clean up job sites after completion, ensuring debris and materials are properly disposed of.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Construction Crew Leader and other team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Follow instructions and communicate effectively to ensure project goals are met.
6. Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols on-site.
7. Seasonal Duties:
- Support winter tasks such as snow removal during off-season months as needed.
Qualifications Requirements
- Previous experience in landscaping construction or similar outdoor labor is preferred.
- Ability to operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment.
- Strong physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- CDL is highly preferred and will positively impact starting compensation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
