Inter-Con Security is currently hiring Armed and Unarmed Security Officers in the South Austin area.
As a Security Officer, you will be part of a professional security team responsible for protecting people, property, and facilities while providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Pay
- Unarmed Security Officer: $17.56 per hour
- Armed Security Officer: $21.93 per hour
Responsibilities
Security Officer responsibilities may include:
- Monitor assigned areas and help prevent unauthorized access.
- Verify credentials and access authorization for employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated security areas.
- Conduct routine security patrols and remain alert for suspicious activity or potential safety concerns.
- Monitor security systems and cameras as assigned.
- Assist employees, visitors, and members of the public in a professional manner.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
- Document incidents and complete required security reports.
- Assist with emergency evacuation procedures when necessary.
- Follow all post orders, security procedures, and company policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess an active Texas security license appropriate for the position.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have at least two years of experience in law enforcement, military service, or facility security.
- Be able to successfully complete required background screening and pre-employment physical/drug screening.
- Possess basic computer skills, including the ability to send and receive email and perform basic data entry.
- Be able to read, understand, and communicate instructions and complete written reports in English.
- Be available to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Additional licensing and qualification requirements may apply based on whether the position is Armed or Unarmed.
Work Environment
This position may involve working indoors and outdoors at assigned locations. Officers should be prepared for prolonged periods of standing and walking while performing security duties.
