Field Technician – Siding
Summary:
As a Field Technician on our siding crew, you would be responsible for quality repairs of clients’ existing siding and the installation of new siding, trim, gutters, downspouts, etc. The installer's responsibilities include tearing off, prepping the site for new installation, removal and cleanup of waste from project site, and other construction tasks as deemed needed. The installer must be able to work with vinyl, steel and LP SmartSide engineered siding. Carpentry experience is a plus. A key responsibility of the crew is to ensure that all safety standards and procedures are adhered to. To be successful as an installer, you need to be able to maintain good working relationships with clients, other contractors, and co-workers; collaborate well, problem solve, and take direction as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Assist tradesmen and machine operators in construction projects.
- Erect and break up scaffolding, ladders, pump poles, etc. with attention to safety.
- Unload and carry materials at construction sites.
- Use equipment to break old forms and structures.
- Prepare and apply construction materials to build structures or fill gaps (e.g cement, plywood, etc.).
- Clean out site from debris and discarded material.
- Inspecting the structure in order to determine the best course of action.
- Measuring and cutting materials to ensure that they fit securely around vents, gutters, windows, doors, corners, and walls.
- Smoothing out rough spots on structure to prepare the surface for new siding or waterproofing.
- Replacing areas of clients’ siding that are damaged or rotting.
- Installing vapor barriers and insulation to create a more waterproof seal.
- Safely setting up ladders, scaffolding, and hoisting equipment as required.
- Updating the foreman and others on job progress and reporting any problems related to the job.
- Safely transporting all required equipment and materials to job sites.
Requirements / Skills:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proven siding or general construction experience.
- Working knowledge of different siding materials and installation.
- The ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- The ability to use powered hand tools.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Able to work in a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
