Position Summary
The FSC Financial Coach empowers individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency by providing 1:1 case management, developing personalized financial plans (budgeting, debt reduction, credit building), and leading financial literacy workshops. The role requires fieldwork, data management, and coordinating social/housing resources. This position requires daily in-person attendance, weekends, afterhours and fieldwork.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct financial assessments and build tailored action plans.
- Guide clients on budgeting, debt reduction, and credit improvement.
- Co-ordinate with internal staff and external partners to connect clients with housing, mental health, and social service resources.
- Lead group financial literacy workshops and community outreach events.
- Track and manage client data accurately in electronic systems
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting (or certification), OR a High School Diploma with 4+ years of financial capability experience.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), highly organized, proficient in standard computer software (Word, Excel, etc.), and culturally sensitive.
- Must clear DOJ, TB, and HIPAA certifications.
- Reliable vehicle, valid CA driver’s license, and ability to work in-person, including some nights and weekends.
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
