Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dental examinations, including medical and dental history assessments, to accurately diagnose oral health issues.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass preventive care, restorative procedures, and cosmetic dentistry.
- Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canal therapy, extractions, and implant placements with attention to detail and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret results to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote long-term oral health.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and specialists to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Uphold infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix for scheduling, documentation, and practice management.
- Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare diagnosis processes.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and implantology is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to explain complex procedures clearly.
- Skilled in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontic fabrication, and oral surgeries with precision.
- Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with healthcare regulations.
- Ability to assess patient needs accurately through comprehensive examinations and diagnostics; adept at client communication for treatment planning.
