Are you a Kinesiology major planning to apply to Physical Therapy school? Orthocare Physical Therapy Center is looking for a versatile Rehabilitation Specialist to join our clinic. This isn't just a job—it’s a hands-on mentorship designed to give you a massive competitive edge for your DPT applications.
Work directly with our team of specialists to bridge the gap between clinical rehabilitation and lifelong wellness.
Your Role: The Hybrid Specialist
This position is split into three core areas to give you a 360-degree view of private practice operations:
- 40% Personal Training & Wellness: Lead 1-on-1 performance and post-rehab training sessions. You will help patients transition from clinical care to high-performance fitness programs, ensuring they stay healthy long after their PT discharge.
- 40% Administrative & Clinical Support: Master the "business of PT." You’ll manage patient intake, scheduling, and clinical workflow coordination. You'll also assist our DPTs with equipment and setup.
- 20% Community Outreach: Help us grow! You will represent Orthocare at local community events, manage our social media presence, and build relationships with local athletic groups in the Fairfax and South Riding areas.
Compensation & Perks
- Base Pay: $15.00 per hour for all admin and clinical assist hours.
- Performance Premium: Earn an additional +$6.00 per hour for every personal training session you lead (Effective rate: $21.00/hr while training).
- PT School Mentorship: Gain your required clinical observation hours in a reputable facility. We provide guidance on the application process and letters of recommendation for top-performing team members.
- Advanced Learning: Access to our internal continuing education, including exposure to Pelvic PT, Dry Needling, and Orthopedic Clinical Specialties.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Current or recently graduated Kinesiology / Exercise Science major.
- Certification: Current Personal Training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, or CSCS) or willingness to obtain one within 60 days.
- The Vibe: We are a "warm and contemporary" clinic. We need someone who is high-energy, organized, and genuinely enjoys helping people "Move Better, Live Better."
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable with social media (Instagram/TikTok) and basic office software.
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
