JOB
Officials will provide competent leadership as a representative of the City with the responsibility to control games in various City Adult Sports Programs, including the adult softball league.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Officiates and score keeps for the adult sports program (including, but not limited to, Adult Softball); uses authority with a common sense approach to effectively control games; commands and maintains the respect of coaches, parents, and participants; knows and interprets rules of play; makes judgement calls in a brisk, business-like manner; reacts intuitively to play situations; knows and supports the aims and principles of adult sports; understands the comparable skills and limitations of the adult participating in the sports programs; keeps official scores of the games for adult softball programs; knows and understands the correct method of recording in an official game book; records the statistics; maintains the scoreboard; assist with field set-up and take-down as needed; must maintain a clean, neat appearance; and performs related work as required.
Plate Umpire - $28.00/game; Base Umpire - $26.00/game
