Floe Cafe is seeking a responsible, organized, and hands-on Store Manager to oversee daily cafe operations. Floe Cafe is a matcha and bingsoo cafe focused on quality drinks, desserts, cleanliness, customer service, and a welcoming customer experience.
The Store Manager will be responsible for leading the team, maintaining cafe standards, supporting daily operations, and making sure the cafe runs smoothly throughout each shift. This position is ideal for someone with cafe, restaurant, dessert shop, or food service management experience who is comfortable managing employees, training staff, solving problems, and maintaining consistency.
Job Responsibilities
The Store Manager will oversee the overall flow and daily operation of the cafe. Responsibilities include:
- Managing day-to-day cafe operations
- Leading, training, and supporting baristas and shift leads
- Making sure all team members understand their roles, responsibilities, and duties
- Maintaining high standards for customer service, cleanliness, speed, and quality
- Ensuring drinks, bingsoo, and menu items are prepared consistently
- Monitoring employee performance and providing feedback when needed
- Creating and maintaining a positive, respectful, and productive work environment
- Helping with scheduling and making sure shifts are properly staffed
- Making sure opening, mid-shift, and closing duties are completed properly
- Ensuring the cafe stays clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
- Checking that dishes, restrooms, counters, floors, equipment, and customer areas are maintained throughout the day
- Monitoring inventory levels and communicating when items need to be ordered
- Reducing waste and helping maintain proper product rotation
- Handling customer concerns, complaints, and drink mistakes professionally
- Enforcing company policies, procedures, and cafe standards
- Supporting the hiring, onboarding, and training process for new employees
- Communicating with ownership regarding staffing, operations, customer feedback, and areas that need improvement
- Taking initiative when something needs to be fixed, cleaned, restocked, or improved
Qualifications
- Previous cafe, restaurant, dessert shop, or food service experience preferred
- Previous shift lead, supervisor, assistant manager, or manager experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train, coach, and guide team members
- Organized, responsible, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to handle customer issues and employee concerns professionally
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the cafe
- Reliable, punctual, and consistent
- Able to stand for long periods of time and assist with hands-on cafe tasks when needed
- Food Handler Card required
- Food Safety Manager Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who treats the cafe as their own and takes pride in maintaining high standards. The ideal candidate is someone who notices when something is dirty, disorganized, low in stock, inconsistent, or not running smoothly — and takes action without needing to be reminded.
This person should be a strong leader who can support the team while also holding employees accountable. They should be comfortable giving direction, following up on missed tasks, and making sure the cafe operates with consistency every day.
