Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining quality and consistency.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring that all dietary requirements are met.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food handling, and sanitation practices.
- Experience in fine dining or catering environments is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
