Be the Communication Hub That Keeps Our Campus Safe
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Security Dispatcher to join our Public Safety team. In this fast-paced and essential role, you will be the central communication point that helps coordinate safety, security, and emergency response across our hospital campus.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, staying calm under pressure, and being part of a team that makes a real difference every day. You’ll work closely with security officers, hospital staff, and emergency responders in a supportive, team-oriented environment where no two days are the same.

What You’ll Do
Internal Safety & Support
- Respond to requests for door unlocks and securing access points throughout the facility
- Coordinate escorts and secure transport of sensitive items, including deposits and other high-security materials
- Support armed security officers and assist with backup response as needed
- Provide escorts for non-high-risk situations involving staff, visitors, patients, and hospital resources
- Assist with dispatch operations and security-related tasks to enhance overall campus safety
- Perform additional duties in support of the Security team as assigned
External Safety & Campus Support
- Respond to requests for vehicle escorts for patients, visitors, and staff
- Assist with helipad safety procedures, including posting required safety notices for aircraft arrivals and departures
- Support contract security officers and provide backup assistance when needed
- Conduct building checks, parking lot monitoring, and ensure doors and access points are properly secured or opened
- Assist with maintaining a safe and secure external campus environment
Dispatch Operations
- Serve as the communication hub for hospital security operations
- Monitor security systems and respond to alarms, calls, and radio traffic
- Dispatch security personnel and coordinate response across campus
- Communicate with police, fire, EMS, and emergency maintenance services when needed
- Provide accurate information and assistance to staff, patients, visitors, and outside agencies
- Perform administrative and documentation duties related to security operations
- Support emergency response coordination and ensure timely communication across teams
What We’re Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective during emergency or high-pressure situations
- Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented operation
- Valid driver’s license required
- Prior security or dispatch experience is helpful but not required—we provide training for the right candidate
- Interest in building a long-term career in healthcare security, safety, or emergency operations
