About the role:
The BHT works to ensure that a patients program is successful. This is accomplished by working with all members of the team to reinforce or support identified areas of need for each individual patient. The BHT is a relationship builder and advocate for the patient. They work to provide an exceptional level of service during the patients stay and during the course of their treatment.
- Builds effective relationships with patients during their stay to keep the patient on track during their stay. Serves as a constant presence with patients. Must be able to control the environment for a successful outcome.
- Maintains daily observations of patients at various levels of care at the required time intervals (30 minutes, 15 minutes, One to Ones)
- Ensures patients are following house rules and comply with items needed for their stay such as room cleanliness.
- Observes the general appearance and demeanor of each patient as often as practical during a patient’s waking hours and notifies the team if any negative changes to the general appearance and demeanor of any patient as observed.
- Provides a patient with a comprehensive orientation to the facility which includes an overview of the Patient Handbook and other documents needed for their stay.
- Transport clients as needed.

Requirements
· 1-2 years experience in a behavioral health environment strongly preferred. Experience in addiction with knowledge of 12 step programs a plus
· Maintains a current CPR certificate
·Valid Driver’s License Required with clean driving history
· Can attest that there are no health concerns that would prevent the ability to perform ones duties and endanger patient safety.
· Past record of consistent and timely attendance.
Shift and Pay
This position does involve weekend scheduling.
We are competitive in the market with pay based on your experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
