Our surgery center is seeking an energetic, motivated professional who wishes to help create and share in its growth and success. The successful candidate will assist in the care of our orthopedic, podiatry, pain and spine ambulatory patients. Supervises and directs patient care in a single operating room.

Responsibilities include:
· Direct patient care in the operating room
· Knowledge of sterile technique
· Maintaining an accurate count of sponges, needles, and other instruments in the OR
· Prepare the operating room, position the patient, ensure all supplies and equipment are sterile and available for the proposed procedures
· Communicate and changes in the patient’s condition with anesthesia and surgeon if observed
· Ensure medications are administered and charted appropriately
Job Type: PRN or Part-time with transition to full time if desired

Required Qualifications
- Current RN Illinois license
- Minimum of 1 year of Surgical/OR experience required
- Orthopedic Experience preferred
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred
- AORN preferred
- BLS certification
- Conscious sedation experience preferred
